    1. Water Treatment Flocculants: In many applications involving wastewater treatment, tap water purification, and solid-liquid separation of mineral slurries, the combined use of anionic and cationic flocculants produces a remarkably significant synergistic effect compared to using either type of ionic flocculant alone. For example, EHPAM’s ability to reduce surface tension far exceeds that of either cationic or anionic flocculants used individually under the same conditions. Therefore, to achieve the desired level of surface tension reduction, both cationic and anionic flocculants must be added. However, if these two types are used improperly, they may form white precipitates, thereby negating their effectiveness. In contrast, EHPAM itself exhibits amphoteric ion characteristics, enabling it to achieve synergistic effects when combined with both anionic and cationic flocculants without producing any precipitates. This makes EHPAM particularly well-suited for solutions that are difficult to flocculate, as such solutions require polymers with both anionic and cationic properties. Using EHPAM as a water treatment flocculant is not only more convenient but also yields superior results in these cases.

    2. Sludge Dewatering Agents: As the nature of urban wastewater discharge becomes increasingly complex, the requirements for sludge dewatering agents in wastewater treatment are steadily rising. Single-cationic flocculants have become less effective for dewatering certain types of sludge. EHPAM, a zwitterionic flocculant, serves as a specialized sludge dewatering agent. Testing and practical applications involving various mineral slurries and sludges have consistently demonstrated that EHPAM outperforms single-ion-characteristic flocculants. EHPAM is particularly effective in industries such as oil refineries, steel plants, chemical plants, and metallurgical mines, where its use for sludge dewatering and clarification yields even more remarkable results.

Grade Cationic degree % Anion degree % Molecular weight × 10⁶ Solid content % Residual monomer content %
    EHPAM-1 10 15-25 8-10 ≥89 ≤0.05
    EHPAM-2 5 15-25 10-12 ≥89 ≤0.05

Note: The EHPAM series products appear as white granular powder, with particle sizes ranging from 20 to 80 mesh and a concentration of 0.5% to 1%. At room temperature, the dissolution time is ≤60 minutes. The product is packaged in 25-kg bags, featuring a double-layer kraft paper bag lined with a plastic film; packaging can also be customized according to customer requirements.
