Nonionic polyacrylamide is a homopolymer of acrylamide monomers, produced by granulation, drying, and pulverization. The product appears as white, fine granules or powdery solid.
Main uses
Wastewater treatment agent: When suspended wastewater is acidic, non-ionic polyacrylamide is a suitable choice. In this case, PAM acts as an adsorption bridge, causing suspended particles to flocculate and settle, thereby purifying the wastewater. It can also be used for the purification of tap water, especially when combined with inorganic coagulants—it delivers the best results in water treatment.
Wastewater treatment containing metal ions: A molecular weight of 10 million is generally recommended.
Oilfield profile control and water shutoff agent: Composed of non-ionic polyacrylamide and wood cellulose, with the addition of certain chemical additives, this agent is widely used as an oilfield profile control and water shutoff agent.
Textile industry additives: By adding certain chemicals, a chemical sizing agent can be formulated for use in sizing textiles.
Sand control and stabilization: Dissolve non-ionic polyacrylamide at a concentration of 0.3%, add a crosslinking agent, and spray the mixture onto desert areas to achieve sand control and stabilization effects.
Chemical grouting agent: A mixture of 905 parts of nonionic polyacrylamide plus 0.5 part of N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide can be used as a chemical grouting agent for waterproofing dams, foundations, tunnels, and other structures.
Soil moisture agent: Used as a base material for soil moisture agents and various modified polyacrylamide products.
