  • Product Introduction

Commonly known as a water purification agent, it is also referred to as polyaluminum chloride, abbreviated as PAC. It belongs to the same category of water-purifying chemicals as basic polyaluminum chloride and spray-dried polyaluminum chloride. The solid product appears as a yellow or white powder, with a chemical molecular formula of AL2(OH)nCl6-n (where 1 ≤ n ≤ 5 and m ≤ 10). It dissolves readily in water and exhibits strong bridging adsorption properties. During hydrolysis, it undergoes physicochemical changes including electrochemistry, coagulation, adsorption, and precipitation, ultimately forming AL2(OH)3(OH)3, thereby achieving the purpose of water purification.

    Product Features

It features the following characteristics: wide application scope and excellent compatibility with various types of water. It readily forms large flocs quickly and exhibits outstanding sedimentation performance. It has a relatively broad optimal pH range (between 5 and 9), and after treatment, the pH and alkalinity of the water decrease only slightly. Even at low water temperatures, it can still maintain stable sedimentation performance. Its degree of alkalinity is higher than that of other aluminum and iron salts, resulting in minimal corrosive effects on equipment.

Drinking water grade and industrial grade

    Product Use

This product is widely used for the purification of low-temperature, high-turbidity water in both domestic and industrial applications, as well as for the treatment of industrial feedwater, wastewater, and sewage. It is suitable for removing colloidal suspended solids (SS) from wastewater, reducing COD and BOD levels, achieving decolorization and purification, and is particularly effective in industries such as tap water production, papermaking, thermal power, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, mining, food processing, steelmaking, mineral processing, and leather tanning—where it helps eliminate chemical additives.

    Usage and Dosage

    1. Mix this solid product with room-temperature water at a weight ratio of 1:2.5 to 1:3, and stir thoroughly for about 30 minutes. After the product is completely dissolved, dilute it with 30 to 40 times its volume of clean water to reach the desired concentration. (The higher the turbidity of the source water, the more clean water should be added during the second dilution.)
    2. When the turbidity of the source water is between 100 and 500 mg/L, the dosage should be 5–10 kg per 1,000 tons of water. It is recommended to conduct a small-scale trial beforehand, based on the specific characteristics of the water quality, to determine the optimal dosage of the chemical agent.
    3. The optimal pH range for polyaluminum chloride is 7–9; water temperatures that are too low will impair the product’s flocculation effect.
